How do you get silly puddy out of a crochet blanket?

My son went to bed with his silly puddy and it got all over the crochet blanket my mother made for him. The blanket is tripled crocheted and the colors are Red, Black & White for the New Jersey Devils. Please help! 1. Try freezing it, that way it will stick together better while your picking it off. Good Luck! :o)
  2. If the freezing didn't work (it works for gum) try ironing it out with a hankie or bandana on top of the work between the iron and the afghan, and paper towels underneath the afghan to absorb the putty. Use a not too hot iron.
  3. When I was little I always loved silly putty. But after a while my mother stopped buying it because the carpet in our house was infamous for off the wall spots of gunk. They stayed there until we moved, we steam cleaned, spot treated, but it never really came out. It just got black and in the carpet deeper. I'm sorry about what happened, I hope you can find a way to get it out.
