My girlfriend has 7mm and 7.5mm knitting needles, I want to know why these are no longer made?
I have a pattern that calls for size 7mm andI figure I could use 6.5mm but was wondering why I can't find what she has, she's like Barbie, has everything, lol.

- Well I have your answer. They claim they are no longer made since US sizes were made the international standard. From what I can see, there is no US equivalent and you should use a US size 10. I've included the links below.
- http://www.needlenook.com.au/conversions.htm Have a look at this chart and you can see equivalent sizes for overseas. Maybe you could get the right size through an international online store. Found a UK website that has both sizes http://www.paviyarns.co.uk/shop/423/152/345/index.htm
- I have checked several websites of knitting shops in the Netherlands and they do still offer knitting needles in 7 mm, sometimes also in 7,5 mm, in double pointed ones they have all mm sizes up to 12 mm. In 'normal' needles you can get even more sizes. If you tell which country you are in we might be able to find you a shop in your country that will send them to you, otherwise, use google or so and keep on till you found them.
