Can someone please tell me step by step instructions on how to knit with your FINGERS, not knitting needles?
Hi, if you are very artsy can you please tell me how to knit with your hands? All I want to make is a simple scarf. I already know how to knit with needles, I just need to know how to knit with fingers only. Please respond with step by step instructions. Thanks so much, Isabel<3

- I've never heard of that. Why don't you want to use the needles? It's fun.
- SHIT LET ME TELL YOU GIRL I WILL TAKE IT TO SOMEONE WHO KNOW HOW TO KNIT SHIT I WILL NOT TRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- wrap the string around your thumb a few times, thread it in between your fingers and back until there are two stands on each, pull the bottom ones over the top ones, wind the string around your fingers again so that you have two strands on each, pull the bottom ones over again, repeat, reapeat repeat
- as far as i know, this is must be really hard to do unless you have pointy fingers. we're humans who are smart enough to invent tools to help us, why use our hands? im thinking if you only use your fingers it will come out looking like crap and not what you wanted at all. plus you will get frustrated, save your self the trouble and do it the old fashioned way.
- It is much faster than knitting with needles. I'll attempt to explain with words. 1) Tie a knot on your thumb (make sure it doesn't just fall off) 2) Take the string connected to the ball of yarn and go behind your index finger, over your middle finger, etc. Then keep going right to left until you have two string line things on your fingers' palms. (Your thumb will be left alone, so fingers' meaning your four fingers being used.) 3) Take the bottom string and pull it over your finger so it's going to the back. Do this to each finger. 4) Then take the string and do step 2 again until you have two string thingys on your fingers' palm side. They aren't very good explanations, hope it helped though! And uh...when knitting with needles, doesn't it take an hour for like, two inches? Email me to reply because I am expert at knitting with my fingers, but a bit of a beginner at knitting with needles. Good luck! Melodie
