Are there any polishing cloths/liquids for bamboo knitting needles?

I've looked all over the internet, and I can't find a single thing to polish my bamboo knitting needles. Some of the polish has worn off one of my pairs, and I'd like to make it shiny and new again. If anyone knows where to buy something to polish them or where I could take them to get them re-polished, please let me know!

  1. To "polish", first you need to re-finish. Decide whether to want to do it cold or warm. I always did mine warm. I haven't used silicone compounds, but some others do. Some use hot candle-wax. Me, I've just used bee's wax. You can get bee's wax as a candle-making supply or from places that sell supplies for bee-keepers. Too much wax will slow down the knitting. I judged by the way the yarn slid on the needles rather than the way the needles looked. With some yarns, a bit of "drag" is desirable, rather than having the needles slip and slide away entirely.
  2. the biggest tip I can give comes from the experts and they have alway said just to wrap in wax paper and rub so just rub them between wax paper.
