What kind of store sells knitting needles?
not wal-art, or other chain, or a knitting/sewing store. but would there be another random store that sells knitting needles? (i.e: a convenience store (not saying they do), etc...)

- You pretty much answered your own question. Walmart, AC Moore, Michaels, Hobby Lobby.... or any local yarn shop... I don't know of any other store unless you go to a hardware store, buy some wood and carve your own...
- you can get them at hobby lobby
- Tuesday Morning usually carries a selection in their craft items. I've been lucky enough to get some great yarn at an amazing price, also needles, notions, and an odd book or two. I don't always find something, but enough to the point that when I'm close I pop my head in and look. I go to Hobby Lobby or Michael's, Wal-Mart, and Jo-Ann Fabric & Crafts. I tend to look at their clearance items a lot. It's not that I won't buy needles at regular price, but I just seem to find so much on clearance that I often don't have to look any further. This has been a great way for me to shop for knitting and has helped me decide what I like and what I don't. There are so many different types of needles, selecting a favorite is a challenge, and different needles are better for different projects. Now that I know what I prefer, I can buy what I like without breaking the bank.
- You can find really good deals on knitting needles on www.ebay.com
- If your town has any thrift stores or resale stores try them. Some times people will donate their used needles to the Goodwill, ARC, and Saver Stores. I happen to find several different sizes at some of our thrift stores and it helps to benefit some of the other organizations here in our town too.
- A good bargain on bamboo knitting needles of all sizes and types can be found at www.sevenyaks.etsy.com
