Stitches

Does anyone know of a good knitting website?

I just learned how to knit from a website knittinghelp.com which is great, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any other ones, that have free easy to understand videos. I've learned to knit stitch and pearl stitch....but I still don't know how to do anything else.

  1. My sister has knitted all her life. I've never done it, only made Afghans. http://www.craftown.com/knitlesson.htm http://www.learntoknit.com/instructions_kn.php3 I hope these 2 sites will help you!
  2. My daughter learned on her own and is hooked (no pun intended). She loves stitch and bitch, craftster and bust ... just google 'em. http://www.bust.com/snbforum/
  3. Knittinghelp.com has the only free online knitting videos I know of. If you learn better by watching than from books, try joining a local knitting group. At mine, the more experienced knitters (and crocheters, too) love teaching "newbies." http://stitchnbitch.org/snb_groups.htm http://knitting.meetup.com http://www.knittyboard.com/viewforum.php?f=7 http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=369.0 For knitting books, visit your local library and get at least one book for adults & one for kids. If you don't understand something in the adult book, look it up in the kids' book. Kids' knitting books use simple language & have lots of pictures.
