- If your problem is that you have stitches on both needles and dont know which way to knit: have a close look at where the yarn that you are knitting with is coming from. It should be closer to one needle than the other. The closer needle is the one you are knitting ON to and should be in your right hand (assuming you are right handed.)
- Do you have stitches on both of the needles? If you do, pick up the needles and spread them apart If the yarn you are working with is on the right hand needle and you are right handed just go ahead and continue your work. If it is not, turn your work around so the working yarn is on the right hand needle [again if your right handed]. If this does not help and you are asking about knit a row or purl a row, if you do your scarf this way the front will look like the front of a sweater. If you knit on all rows you will get a garter stitch and the scarf will look the same on both sides. If this doesn't help contact me and give me more information.
