Knitting? How do you cast on?
I have not cast on knitting for a while and my mind has gone blank can anyone tell me how in a step by step way. Cheers.

- Thefirst three sites have step by step illustrations and video. Knitting help talks you through it. I like casting on in one of two ways: the double cast on (continental) method or the crochet method. If you crochet, the crochet method is quick and easy. You start with a slip stitch and then put a hook through each stitch, yarn over, pull through and place the stitch on the needle. (The 4th link illustrates this method). For the continental method, you have to measure out 3/4 " per stitch, put a slip stitch in the middle and work as illustrated in the 2nd link. It gives a nice-looking, stretchy edge.
