how to cast yarn on the needle during knitting?

I'm knitting a scarf but i forgot how to cast on. can anyone help?

1. To cast stitches, strat with a loop tied around one stitch. Place the other needle through the loop and pull the yarn through making a 2nd stitch. Place on the same needle as the first loop. For next stitches, place 2nd needle inbetween first stich and next. Good luck.
