Stitches

knitting/casting on stiches?

Public Comments

  1. There are a couple ways you can cast on stitches, I like to put a slip knot on my needle for the first stitch, then I take the second needle and insert into the stitch already on the needle and make like I am actually going to do the knit stitch, instead of putting the stitch on the second needle I pull it over the first needle with the first stitch and continue to do that until all my stitches are cast on. I have a link some where that shows how to do this because the pictures are much easier to understand. Ok the website below will show you some other variations of casting on. Hope this helped.
  2. The website knittinghelp.com has videos that show you how to cast on stitches for knitting. There are different videos for several different methods of casting on. Each method of casting on has its advantages and disadvantages. I primarily use long-tail cast on, especially when I am going to do ribbed knitting.
