Stitches

what do you do with the last stitch when casting off the knitting needles?

  1. I usually knit it into the row.. and snip off the remaining wool.
  2. Leave yourself a tail about 6 to 8 inches long and clip the yarn from the ball. Then pull the last loop straight up until the tail comes through and snug it up. This way you end off without an *ear* at the edge and, if needed, can pick it out fairly easily, plus it holds without slipping. You then weave your end into the reverse side of the work neatly.
  3. cut your string about 3 inches away and pull it thru the loop so it also is casted off hope that help it kinda hard to explain without showing
  4. Cut the yarn leaving a few inches excess, then thread the excess yarn onto a tapestry needle and weave approximately 2 to 3 inches into the edge of the knitted piece. Cut excess yarn.
  5. cut the yarn and pull the end through the last stitch.
  6. What I do is when you get to the last two stitches knit the two together.
