Where can I find the instructions to make knitted curtains? Also what kind of wool to I need to buy?

1. I can't think of any off hand, but I would suggest a light fuzzy yarn maybe with a bit of metallic or angora, then using large needles, do a simple k-p-k across or use a plain pattern you like. Made to your measurements, remembering to double (up to 2.5 times) the width of the window, and use premade circle hooks for the top. They might sag with time though so use only on very small windows.
