How do you knit with a knitting doll?

I have a knitting doll for my little girl, with instructions and cannot remeber how to do it any help would be really appreciated

1. Thread the wool up through the centre of the doll. Wind the wool round each nail in turn, then hold the wool again over the first nail (no need to wind round) - with a crochet hook or knitting needle pull the bottom thread up and over, then repeat all round. Just keep going! Give a gentle tug now and again on the "tail" to prevent the knitting jamming. Hope this is clear - good luck!
2. R p's answer good. Small light weight attatched to the work coming down through centre may help work feed through, used this when braiding and this helps keep tension even too.
