I want to start knitting. Can anyone recommend a good website to give me clear instructions?

4. This site has videos that show how to cast-on, knit, purl, bind-off, and other knitting techniques. Videos are nice because you can see the movement of the needles and the yarn, something you can't get from photos and text. Click on "Getting Started" and "Basic Techniques" tabs to start.
5. you should probobly go 2 the library and check out some of the books there on knitting.
6. I would also recommend http://www.knittinghelp.com/ The videos and clear explanation make it easier to understand the basic stitches than trying to learn from a book.

9. http://knittinghelp.com !!!!! It has excellent videos and written instructions. I still use it as a resource myself even though I've been knitting for more than 5 years. It also has advanced techniques and free patterns.. which is great.
