Does anyone know where i find instructions to make Knitting Needle wraps?

Its where you keep your knitting needle together in a cover/wrap (fabric)

  1. I'm not sure what a "knitting needle wrap" is could you explain it or be more specific? I do a LOT of needlecrafts and have never heard this term! Am I having a senior moment - even though I am not a senior just yet! :-) If you mean a sewn case to hold your knitting needles, a "knitting needle holder" try this one: http://www.kissyourshadow.com/images/crafts/needle_case_pattern.jpg http://www.kissyourshadow.com/crafts.php?itemID=needlecase1 Here are two patterns where you can actually knit one and then felt it. I think the Lionbrand one is too short - so I would make it wider to completely cover the needles though. http://www.patonsyarns.com/pattern.php?PID=1230 http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:TEv3YCwPmF4J:cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/BK4K-0612001.html+pattern+knitting+needle+holder&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=6&gl=us Now, if you mean a pattern to make a knitted wrap or stole, like a shawl that is a completely different thing. 2. here is some web site that might help you. References en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casting_on_(knitting) - www.fibergypsy.com/common/yarnwpi.shtml -
  3. What I've seen are very varied. I saw an easy one for dpns though. You take a cloth placemat, and fold it a little more than a third of the way. Sew up the side of the fold and then sew so that you make smaller pockets for each set of dpns. Then you can sew a piece of ribbon to the back. you fold down the extra flap you have left to protect the tips and rolll it up. You can also just look at some that are being sold and try to replicate them. I really like how this person: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=105867 did hers.
