Can someone please give me help&instructions With Knitting??

Hey girls...i am new to knitting, I love crocheing....is knitting similar to crocheing? i know you have to use 2 sticks and yarn But that's all about that i know lol Could someone please give me simple instructions on how to start crocheing? Any helpful web sites out there? any good knitting magazines or books should I buy? I'd appreciate any help with learning how to croche! Any help would be welcome! Thanks so much girls! Jane. 1. hi, 2 great items they are called needles not sticks lol the best way is to go to say spotlight store or simlar. for knitting find a pattern for a scaff that would be the easy one it will tell size needle and thickness of yarn, as for crochet, go for a heavier (thicker) cotton and bigger hook,some patterns even have hints, or go to your libary, they generally have books for beginners,if you are left handed it will be a bit harder, but be ware once you master these your hooked for life,i am when buying books at say newsagent make sure they are australian other wise the needle/hook sizes are hard to match hope this helps
2. Go to a supply store...they will teach you on the spot and have what you need to get started. They are called needles not sticks.
