What is a circular knitting machine?

Is a circular knitting machine a sewing machine that is capable of producing seamless garments. If not, what kind of sewing machine am I looking for? I'm looking for a small sewing contract manufacture who has the ablility to make seamless panties for a very small startup business.

1. firstly - a knitting machine knits - and a sewing machine sews they are 2 different machines. you can do circular knitting on a flat bed knitting machine only when you have the ribber attached. If you want someone to make up knitted seamless panties then you would not need a sewing contractor but a knitwear manufacturer/contractor. try looking in your local telephone book or do a search on the net for your area'
2. Sock knitting machines are cylindrical devices, usually cast iron, that can make tubes of knitted fabric. Mostly they are antiques, but I believe that a company in NZ may be making new ones.
