Where can I find knitting patterns on the internet?

I am expecting a baby and my mum in law wants to knit some nice cardigans for him/her. Does anyone know if I can get any on the internet anywhere?

  2. Just google Free Knitting Patterns and you'll get thousands of sites.
  3. I agree that knittingpatterncentral is the best, but I also use www.knitty.com. You would also get good results if you googled something like knit+cardigan+free+pattern. When I knitted for my nieces I found tons of nice baby things that people had posted on blogs or personal web pages.
  4. If you get a chance to get onto ravelry.com its fantastic. You can view TONS of free patterns, catalog your yarn stash and projects. I LOVE it and also knittingpatterncentral.com and knitty.com, all great resources for knitting patterns.
