Design cards with a PE 150 Embroidery machine?

What other makes of design cards can I use on my UK bought Brother PE 150 embroidery machine. I have read about American users being able to use Bernina and Babylock cards amongst others, but can I use other makes on my machine without having to purchase further software?

1. If you contact a company called Franklins in Colchester as they have compatibles in their very own "amazing designs" brand, ask for Trevor Franklin, hope this helps
2. I have this same machine just sold under a different name. I do not buy the cards as it limits me to what they have on them...I bought this card writer and http://www.acesewvac.com/bro-pe-design-70.html and now buy all kinds of designs over the internet and embroidery websites, download them into my folder and then when I need a design I just load them on this card and into the embroidery machine as it is a re writable card..so you can have many designs and only load what you want at one time... it is another piece of software but keeps you from having to buy written cards...........the format is pes and many websites carry this format for this machine....
