Recommendations for Quick Custom T-Shirts in San Diego?

Am thinking that a custom t-shirt (letters only, no graphics) on nice t-shirts would be a good graduation gift for some friends. Where are good places to have done? Iron-on letters? Silk screen letters? Embroidery? Need ASAP.

2. If you have an inkjet printer you can buy your own iron-on paper at Best Buy or Staples, print your design, then iron them onto tshirts yourself. Michael's has nice solid color tees for around 5 bucks. There's a tshirt shop across the street from Sports Arena near Olive Garden that sells lots of different shirts for printing too.
