can you increase stiches on a circular knitting machine?

i want to make bagger leg warmers and i want to know if its possible to increase stiches on a circular knitting machine. i dont see why it wouldnt be i just cant find video or anything on it.

2. You cannot have more stitches than the number of pegs so if you are already using all the pegs there is no way to have more stitches. You can only make bigger leg warmers by using thicker yarn.
