Help with knitting pattern instructions?
The instructions are: "Rep last 2 rows of K1 P1 ribbing for 2 ins, inc 3 sts evenly across last row and ending with a 2nd row." What does it mean to increase 3 stitches evenly? Where do I add the stitches? And what does it mean to end on a 2nd row?

- You work row 1 of rib then row 2 of rib. You repeat those 2 rows until the work measures 2 inches. The last row worked should be row 2. Increase 3 stitches evenly means leave the same distance between the increases. In this case increase 1 stitch 1/4 the way across, then increase 1 halfway across and increase the third stitch 3/4 the way across.
