Need help understanding these knitting instructions?

The abbreviations in the instructions are 'dvdc'. Does anyone know what this means?

1. This is not a common abbreviation. It must refer to a stitch used only in your pattern. Knitting patterns give the abbreviations at the beginning of the pattern before the instructions start. If your pattern is in a book sometimes the abbreviations used in all patterns are given at the beginning or end of the book. Refer to the index for the page with abbreviations.
