What is the best embroidery machine for home use so I can embroider hats and coats and sweat shirts and that type of thing? Also so I can transfer my own designs to the machine from my computer?

1. It is difficult to answer, because what is best for one may not be best for another. It depends on many factors. 2. My answer to you would be to shop around. Bernina, Viking Husqvarna, and Paff are all excellent machines. I would not suggest the sewing machine that has been around for years starting with S. I used to sell embroidery machines. See what options, they have and if they give lessons on how to use it. You can always buy a lovingly used one, as there are new machines coming out with bigger hoops. I love my machine VH, and would recommend it. There is a new one coming out, and I hope to get one someday. I hope this has helped. Good luck!
