What should I crochet today?

A few details: I have been crocheting for about two years now on and off, so I am comfortable with the common stitches as well as learning new stitches (with detailed instructions). I crochet by written patterns, I have not yet learned the wonderful world of chart crochet, maybe in the future. But anyway, I'm just looking for a simple, fun project for today that will keep me occupied. I do have a Ravelry account and I know about a ton of crochet websites, so I'm not looking for those sort of answers. Just some ideas about what I could make today, maybe something summery?

You could crochet a summer hat :) Or maybe a summer top. What about a drink koozie or a swimsuit cover-up.
Do you have a geek in your life? How about an R2D2 beanie. I'm planning on trying to make one myself, although I'll probably knit it since I'm better at knitting than crochet.
