  1. I finally found one. It is the last one but check http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com and see if there is a beanie in it you like and I can help you with the ear flaps. http://travel-headwear.blogspot.com/2008/01/crochet-beanie-with-ear-flaps.html The next one is to make the flaps and then weave them on the beanie http://crochet-mania.blogspot.com/2009/11/crochet-oblong-ear-flap-for-hat-and-cap.html http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/anupriya/anupriya.html http://crochetncrafts.com/crochet/bohemian-ear-flap-hat.html http://www.hookyarnandneedles.com/oldstuff/node/137 http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/L0484.html?noImages=&r=1 http://www.crochetme.com/media/p/89196.aspx http://www.hookingalong.com/2009/09/funky-chunky-earflap-hat.html This is a winner . Although it says to pay for it I am going to try to hi-lite it and get it free http://www.etsy.com/listing/41456225/bunny-ear-beanie-crochet-pattern You will need Adobe to read the above pattern; it can be downloaded free online (www.adobe.com). Paper copies can be mailed to you for an additional $2.00.
  2. If you have never worked in a round before, try a simple beanie first. This will help explain how to work in a round: http://www.innerchildcrochet.com/resources/how_to_design/working_in_the_round.html Here is a basic beanie for beginners pattern: http://www.crochetspot.com/how-to-crochet-a-beanie-using-double-crochet-stitches/ If you think you can handle that, then try: http://www.crochetme.com/media/p/88240.aspx
