4. you didn't say what software you are using. that would be very helpful in answering your question. there are several tutorials on a couple different soft wares here. http://www.myembroideryhaven.com/howto.html there are some great general tutorials at this site. i haven't really done any of the tutorials but attended a retreat. she was very good with trying to cover all software. http://www.dhd-emb.com/ good luck.
