Can I wear brown sandals with black leggings?

Today for school, I'm wearing a deep purple scoop neck shirt with crochet in the back that goes from the neck to the lower back. It has a banded bottom and it goes to the bottom of the butt. I'm wearing it with black leggings that go all the way to the ankle. I want to wear brown wedge strappy sandals with gold detail, but will it clash with the black?
