Why am I having burning in my thumb after I had stitches?

Got cut by a kitchen knife had to have eight stitches in my thumb and I am currently taking anitibotics now I am having burning in this tumb why?

2. The "burning" in your thumb is the feeling of cells and tissue reproduction,, or wold you prefer your thumb to be "numb", ... (anaesthethics not considered...), antibiotics in the body is a form of "medical anticeptics.... " and do the doctor ( handsome guy ) inject your buttocks, or in pill forms ?....
