What ward in a hospital would someone receive stitches to a cut hand?
I'm attempting to write a screenplay and one of the characters requires stitches to a hand recently cut with a knife. Obviously, emergency would be the first place to attend, but where would the patient be transferred to from there? Or are the stitches done in an area in emergency? Can they be done by an LPN? They can certainly be done by an RN, yes?

- The patient would be treated in the ER. Patient requiring only stitches would not need to be admitted as in-patient to the hospital and, therefore, would be treated in full in and released from the emergency room.
- usually the stitches are done in the emergency room, and they are done by a doctor or registrar never are never done by a nurse, even though they could probably do it with their eyes closed!
