  1. Go to a freakin doctor.
  2. u might have an infection but i dout it as every mother that has a normall birth has these feelings, come on you sqeezed a watermelon out on a pea size whole thats bound to hurt for a few days, n you had a stitch so you have an open wound of course pee is going to make it sting. dont drink orange juice or anything with cituris in it as the stinging will get worst n give it a week or so to heal
  3. I had several (SEVERAL) stitches after I had my son. After I got home from the hospital, it burned/stung when I got pee on where the stitches were. It happened for quite some time too. I just used some of that numbing stuff (there are sprays, ointments, and wet pads that allow you to apply numbing medication). I used all of those and it really helped. If you're unsure what to use, call your doctor and schedule a visit, or just talk to someone on the nurses line.
  4. If you had a bladder infection your bladder would hurt, in your abdomen, and its usually pretty unbearable. If you have a stitch that hurts its either infected, or far more likely it was put in wrong. After birth the genital tissue tends to be swollen, if they inject a numbing agent like lidocaine it will swell even more, which can make it difficult or impossible to line up the edges of the wound properly. Also some doctors aren't very good at stitching to start with. If the stitch is in wrong its going to pull on the skin all the time, which is going to hurt. You can either get someone to fix the stitch or if its just the one you could chose to just take it out yourself though it may not heal properly depending (also its not going to heal properly with the stitch in wrong). A plastic surgeon is your best bet, if you can get them to squeeze you in, and yes the do commonly do cosmetic and reconstructive surgery on female genitalia -they aren't going to think you're insane.
  5. awwww hun bathe in epsom (sp?) salts (don't worry it wont burn the stitched area.....and drink LOTS LOTS LOTS of cranberry juice.....NOT cranberry drink make sure it says juice and not cocktail......if you drink a lot of that tonight you'll be feeling great by tomorrow ;)
