Cheapest embroidery machine...?

I am looking to buy an embroidery machine capable of doing hats as well. I have my own artwork so it would have to be able to do custom designs. I'm BRAND NEW at this, so im not sure if this requires a special computer, or program. I dont need to mass produce hats, one at a time is fine by me. Any information would be helpful. Thanks

1. I'd start by going to sewing machine sales stores and just asking the same questions as above. You are not obligated to buy when receiving information on what machine will perform the way you want it to. Remember one usually gets what one pays for. But don't overbuy with so many functions that you know you'll never use. Good luck.
2. I have the Brother SE270D and Loooove it!! It is a great little machine. Very easy to use. It was less than $500 with the card reader.
