Stitches

can I crochet a baby blanket using just a single stitch?

or should i do a row of single then a row of double stitch?

  1. Either way would work - they would just produce a different texture/ look; varying would produce a subtle stripe while single crochet would be more uniform. However I'd alternate because just single crochet often create a tougher fabric with less drape. By using rows of each you'll achieve the sturdiness of single crochet with the softness /drape of double.
