- Yes this is completely normal, when i had my baby , plus stitches they told me to try some witch hazel on the pad. Sorry if tmi. It helps relieve some of the discomfort.
- It will continue to burn for about a week, but the pain will decrease. If the hospital didn't give you numbing spray you should pick some up from the drug store. The stitches will go away in a few weeks. If you find it is becoming more painful instead of decreasing in pain then I would consult the doctor to ensure there isn't any kind of infection.
- yes that's normal it will take about a week before they start to dissolve .Your midwife should be checking on you daily talk your worries over to her she has seen and heard it all before.when sitting down have a nice soft cushion to sit .you should start to feel a little easier in a few days Congratulations on the birth of your new baby take it easy and except loads of help take care and well done
- Usually, it takes between 7-10 days 4 them to dissolve. And remember, that is an area that has just had a major trauma to it! So there are probably still raw spots (hence the hurt and burning when pee hits it). Best advice, go to ur OB/GYN and just have him take a look 2 make sure it isn't infected!
- Sutures usually take a week to ten days to dissolve. Occasionally some don't and can be taken out at the doctors surgery, but this is not common. Its quite normal for some stinging and burning to start off with. You can hold a pad over the area while you pee. They usually don't need anything else applied to them though. If you notice any redness, oozing or severe swelling at the site (aside from natural trauma associated with giving birth) maybe call the hospital where you gave birth.
- Perfectly normal, it all takes time to heal up. Salt baths helped me at home, warm water though not hot and nature will take care of things. Just take care of yourself as well as your beautiful little one, this discomfort will pass in time. Plenty of congratulations too xx
- the pain is normal and it will take longer than 4 days to dissolve it can take up to 6 weeks roughly. you can help it by having lots of baths with savlon in it that helped me a lot. i think mine were dissolved after around a month, but i still had pain for months afterwards, at your 6 week check they will check to make sure there is no infection and they have healed well. the burning will pass after a couple of weeks, i found holding tissue or a sponge to the area when you pee stops the stinging.
