How do you know when your dissolving stitches dissolved after childbirth?
I had a baby 1 month ago I tore I got dissolving stitches..How was I supposed to treat them and when are they usually dissolved and healed?

- You do not need to treat them at all. As long as the area is kept clean (which I'm sure you have taken care of that!) then the stitches need no other care. Depending on the kind of dissolvable stitches they used, it could take up to 8 weeks to fully heal. I suggest you taking a mirror and looking at the area where the stitches would be. Also unless you are feeling discomfort, they have probably already dissolved. Either way, if you are worried, make an appt with your doc to get a quick check. Good luck!
