to learn how to do the edgings & trimings on blankets, and different crochet stitches?

2. Try crochetpatterncentral.com. They have tons of patterns that use different stitches and tell you how to do them bit by bit. If all else fails, try Youtube. I used it to teach myself the basic stitches and went from there.
