Stitches

Does anyone know a way to add double crochet stitches to the ends of row on an already made afghan?

I am about half way done with an afghan and the pattern is not coming out like it should be. I am needing to add about 5 double crochets to the ends of each row that I have already finished. I can't figure out a way to do this. I need help!!

  1. Do not add on the ends as it will cause the afghan to change shape. It will be better if you add the stitches evenly spaced across the row. Divide the number of stitches by 5 and that will be how far apart the increases should be.
  2. How about doing a double crochet border around the afghan for several rows so you have the width you want.
