How do I remove steri-strips over removable stitches?

I had ACL surgery last week and the main incision has removable stitches with steri-strips over the top. I am supposed to get the stitches removed tomorrow but I am afraid that I won't be able to get the steri-strips off. They are very stuck to the stitches and pull them up if I try to take it off. I was told by the surgeon to leave the steri-strips on for a neater scar afterwords and that the steri-strips would come off but they didn't. Help!

1. leave them alone;; they come off on their own;; IF when you go to see the doc, they are still on, HE will remove them so he can see how the incision is healing;; YOU should NOT touch them cuz ya just don't know how to get them off without interferance to the incision line...leave them alone!!!
