How does the vet remove stitches?

My pup is due his stitches removed on Monday, and just wondering how the vet will manage to get them out coz there is no way my puppy will stay still and just let them do it. Will they strap him down or something? lol

1. Someone will help hold him still while the vet clips and pulls them out. I once held my cat while the vet stitched up his leg. The meds made my cat as stiff as a board. Luckily, he recovered 100%.
2. they will hold him down, they may even have you help. The last thing you want is for them to have to sedate him. Then they will use a tiny nipper and cut the stitch and pull it out.
3. One of the vet techs will hold him down while the vet removes the stitches.
