How can I make cross-stitch patterns on the computer?

I have made one using paint but I don't really using paint, their might be a program I can use that I don't know about? I also used quadrille paper but the squares are too big, I tried going to the stores to see if I can find paper will really small squares but I dirin't find any, do they sell paper with small squares that you know of?

  1. If you went into excel and made the cells squares.The squares can be made whatever size you want. Would that work for you.

What you will be looking for is graph paper and the squares do come in different sizes and there is also a graph paper that is transparent if you want something like this you can probably find it at a craft store. When I got mine it was at Ben Franklin"s.   5. Have you tried downloading a cross stitch software program. Just google free cross stitch software and try one.
  6. There are some great cross stitch design programs out there. I have a couple and prefer PC Stitch. The most recent version is PC Stitch 9 Pro. Hobbyware also puts out a good one. You can buy scientific graph paper that has 10 squares to the inch as well as downloading graph paper from a site like www.cyberstitchers.com - free graph paper as well as many patterns and conversion charts from one brand of floss to another.
