Stitches

Can anyone tell me how to knit or crochet the afghan at the bottom of the link below?

I really want to make the blanket, but I don't know how to switch colors or when to and any of that stuff. Please help me! LINK: http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/features/crafts/crochet/extendedsinglecrochet

  1. I have been looking at the picture and all of the places to go{they would not come up} and did not see any place to find the pattern. Basically it is not a blanket and probably something you would hang up on the wall. If you really want to make it e-mail me and I will try to give you a pattern I will make up. EDIT sorry I forgot to mention the only thing I can see is the site showing you how to make a stitch not the wall hanging
  2. If you can't find it on here, try the public library in the crochet or craft sections. They have a good selection of pattern books.
  3. You can graph the design out for yourself. That particular pattern isn't available on The Leaky Cauldron site. That particular afghan is crocheted in extended single-crochet stitch. You would need to use graph paper with the same height-to-width ratio as the stitch itself, which you can create for yourself using a spreadsheet program. Each "square" on the graph paper represents a single stitch. Once you have drawn the design on graph paper and determined which colors to use, you'd just follow the graph and change color when the graph changes color.
