what is the best way to store afghans?
My mom crochets afghans for when family members get married. As she recently retired, she has been making them in advance. What is the best way to store them so they don't get damp, but also so any mice can't get in?

- You can use Ziploc Big Bags with a Double Zipper...available at Walmart. Also you can use the zippered vinyl bags that new blankets and quilts come in.
- Put one in a heavy duty trash bag (those thick black ones you get at the Home Depot) and press all the air out before using a twist tie or duct tape to seal the top of the bag. Then, place them into heavy duty rubber containers (Rubbermaid, like what they sell at Home Depot) for long-term storage. These snap shut to keep moisture and rodents out.
- Use a plastic bag wit ha zipper and store it in a dry area.
