Is there a program to make a crochet pattern diagram?

I Have been looking for patterns that have a diagram to them. I have a grandmother who loves to crochet but cannot read. Seems the magazines she use to buy with diagrams in them no longer sell. I wonder if there is a program out there that will allow me to make a diagram of the stitches for her.
