How do I remove the upper bobbin from a JML easy stitch?

I've just gotten this tiny sewing machine from a charity shop...but I don't know how to remove the top bobbin to change the thread! The instruction booklet tells me how to thread all the bobbins, but not how to actually remove it :-/ I've tried pushing, pulling, twizzling :P Anyone able to help please? -what can i say? it was £2 :P

1. You may find it a better idea to have passed on this purchase. The "button" holding the bobbin should pull out - use a pair of pliers.
