Is there a good monthly crochet magazine?
I just began crocheting and I was wondering if there is a crochet magazine that comes out monthly that I could subscribe to with good stuff in it

- Crochet Today! ( http://www.crochettoday.com/ ) is a good, all around magazine for all levels of crocheters. They have a nice variety of patterns, too, from clothing to kids' toys to household items, and include both written directions and charts and schematics in their patterns. Nice, clear photos and diagrams, and their patterns are made with yarns that are easier to find without having to go to a specialized yarn store. Other mags that are also popular are Crochet World (http://www.crochet-world.com/), Crochet! (http://www.crochetmagazine.com/) and Interweave Crochet (http://www.interweavecrochet.com/). None of these are monthly -- some are every other month or every quarter.
- Interweave Crochet is a good one. I just got it for my birthday and it's awesome! It may be every other month though.
- It entirely depends on the kinds of things you would like to make. Crochet! and Interweave crochet have lots of wearables, while Crochet Today and Crochet World have more houseld and other types of items... the best thing to do would be to go to a newsstand or book store that carries several crochet magazines and leaf through them to see which one's style is to your taste.
- There are quite a few good crochet magazines. Crochet Today, Interweave Crochet, Crochet World and Simply Creative Crochet. I manage a yarn shop and we carry all of these. what's nice about the magazines is they carry up to date designs.
- All of these are good magazines depending on what you want. Some also have Internet subscriptions where you can save them in your computer, like Crochet World. When I subscribed I got access to hundreds of patterns in the archives which I could save to my computer in pdf format. What I would suggest is that if you have access to a bookstore that carries the magazines, go have a look at them. If you do not, then order ONE copy of each to determine which carries the types of things you make. Sometimes you can get a free copy to examine before buying a subscription. You'll have to do some legwork to determine what works best for you.
