Could knitting needles be counted as a weapon in school?
So I've been knitting a lot recently and since I get all my homework done at home I have nothing to do during my study halls. I've checked out my school handbook and it says nothing about knitting needles in particular, but the study hall teacher I have is really strict about school rules. If I do bring them in, do you think that I would be sent to the office for having a weapon? Even if I'm clearly knitting?

- doubt it but if u wanna be sure just ask before u do it..:)
- I don't think that you would. Knitting needles are allowed on planes, so I'm assuming they should be allowed in schools, especially if they're being carried by girls who have attached said needles to various multicolored balls of yarn. Honestly, I'd just avoid the whole problem by asking your teacher how she feels about knitting needles and then bringing them. Actually, I'd probably bring them in my backpack, ask the teacher, and then either leave them in the backpack or bring them out depending on what she says. I wouldn't worry about getting sent to the office unless you're the type of person to make a fuss. If you make a fuss, you're toast. If, on the other hand, you smile sheepishly and say you're very very sorry and will never ever do it again, then everyone will agree with you that the rule is stupid and that you're a darling angel who just wanted to knit her mother a hat.
