How long does it take for the stitches to dissolve after giving birth?

I had my son on Christmas Eve and I had to have 6 stitches.. It's been almost 2 weeks and I was just wondering how long it takes for them dissolve?

1. Mine took 4 weeks a few fell out but the rest took 4 weeks Congratulations on your new baby
2. mine took about 3. you can have your partner look. my husband could see them at two weeks (i was afraid they had messed up) and at 3w they were gone when he checked again
3. OMG I don't know I dint have them with my 1st one and now I'm pregnant with my 2d and really scare about that..Did it hurt you?
4. Usually by the time you go for your 6 week check up they should be gone and if not the doctor will remove them but mine were gone and didn't have a problem.
