Beanie Crochet pattern needed?

My little sister is getting dreads today and really wants a fun slouchy beanie. This is what I am looking to make, but I can't find a pattern online. Do you have one? Thanks! http://static.artfire.com/admin/product_images/thumbs/afv--35388--5954_product_1280381271_thumb_large.jpg Thanks, I make Tons of beanie hats, I just wasn't sure if there was a certain way you had to change it up to make it slouchy.

  1. I found a free pattern that looks awfully close to what you want, just leave off the visor: http://crochetme.com/patterns/evergreen-tam
  2. If you can crochet at all, or have a pattern for any hat, this is very simple to make. Just make it with a larger hook and thicker yarn. Make the hat larger than you would normally. Just use more stitches. There are hundreds of patterns for this. Did you search for them at all? Google is your friend!! http://jessicasuzanne.com/craftypants/2007/09/13/pretty-puffs-slouchy-hat-with-pattern/ http://fiberartsvideo.com/crocheting-videos/crocheting-a-reggae-rasta-hat-part-i/
  3. This one's close. http://jaybirddesigns.blogspot.com/2008/08/august-free-pattern-retro-rings-tam.html I've recently learned the trick for making hats and I'm so thrilled with it. Basically you make a flat circle until the circle is as big around as the measurement of the person's head. In this case the hat is bigger, so you'd go bigger than the actual head measurement, which for a woman is around 22 inches, so make yours bigger. Once you get the circle as big as you need it, then don't do any more increases or decreases and it will pull itself into a hat shape. Knowing that, you could alter this pattern: http://www.get-hooked.net/free-patterns/peek-a-boo-flower-hat/ My guess is that when you get a couple rows before the end, you'll want to do some decreases or a row of sc's to make it tighter to the head so it won't fall off.
  4. Most comprehensive online list of free crochet patterns I have ever found is www.crochetpatterncentral.com... and if you like to knit there is also www.knittingpatterncentral.com... might have "free" before it... cna't remmeber... but they are free sites and if it's not there it doesn't exist.
