Have you ever taken care of yourself at work? Have you ever taken care of someone else?
I used to work with people with developmental disabilities. So, of course, I took care of them. Also, once I hit my head against a nail when I was a restaurant manager. I had to go to the clinic to get stitches. So I guess even though the doctor stitched me up and gave me the tetanus shot, he couldn't have done that if I hadn't gotten my ass to the clinic. Right? Have you ever taken care of yourself or others at work?

- i dont need to work, mah parents got good cash flo
- Loads of times...I'm accident prone. ;-)
- I work for myself, at home.....So yes
- yes, I work in healthcare, so I have helped many patients. and I am sick right now at work. :o(
- Yes and Yes .... Good luck trying to get that image out of your head occulty ... lol
- Myself - more times than I can count. Others - yeah... some at work. I've done volunteering that consisted more of helping others than anything I've done at work. I guess it's all good, eh?
- Smashed by head with a steel bar, ripped my fingers open, ripped the ligaments in my ankle (pain like you wouldn't believe) sliced through my knee cap cartilage, got my hand burnt with an oxy acetylene torch (it was done deliberately by the prick i was teaching to braze, luckily i had the flame set to braze not weld) collapsed on site from exhaustion had a lorry battery blow up in my face, got fibre glass resin in my eye, got smacked below the eye with a sliding hammer. scalped meself with scaffolding, dodged a punch and knocked myself out by smacking my head of a bolt in the wall. Theres more i can't remember. All of them not my fault, bad health and safety and pricks who didn't know how to safely operate machinery. got taken to the hospital for passing out, the ligaments and the smashed skull all the others i took care of myself. The stupidest accident i avoided was on the forklift, i let a prick who was supposedly qualified to to drive it lift me up in the safety cage to change a strip light. The boss let him drive it, half way up the second mast started to raise then he started to drive when he wasn't stable i shouted stop! he panicked and dropped the mast where i was grabbing onto the first mast he missed my hand by half an inch before i pulled it away. If somebodies in a safety cage in any lifting apparatus the first rule is before you lift or drop anyone is to shout "hands clear" and don't touch the controls until you get told to go ahead. I will never allow anyone to lift me in a forklift again.
- Nah. I like to be helpful, up to the point of actually doing anything, then I leave it alone. That's how I roll.
- Taken care of myself at work? Oh yes! Several times, usually involving an adult toy or my hands. I haven't taken care of a co worker...yet. Not sure husband would approve....
- yes to both. more than once.
- Yes and yes...I'm very handy. I'm also great at multi-tasking so I can often take care of two or three people while someone takes care of me. I'm also a bit of a workaholic so I'm never satisfied unless my job is done right...which often means doing it over and over and over again. Yes, I get tired, sore and sweaty...but in the end I always go home satisfied that my hard work has brought others pleasure.
