Is there a way to make my plastic knitting needles less slippery?
I'm knitting a scarf with mohair on size 13s, and I've been dropping stitches. It's driving me crazy that the stitches are sliding all over the place. My gauge/tension is correct, so it's not that the sts are too loose on the needle. Some stitches just slip off the LH needle along with the st I intended to knit as I'm knitting.

- I haven't had that problem and the only thing I can think of that may help but could cause you a problem is to scratch up about a half an inch on the needle or use sandpaper. The reason I mentioned the problem is when you are taking them off the right needle. Another thing you might do before scratching them up is to hold your left arm lower and this may help keep them falling. Hope this is the only thing you are going to make with the 13's
- You may also want to look into wooden knitting needles since they're less slippery? HTH, Diane B.
- I would go with wooden needles. They are definitely less slippery. I <3 mohair!
